Scott Schaeffer

Scott founded Story Arc in 2006 with an extensive production career in film, television, commercials, music videos, and online marketing. With passion for emerging technologies and experience working with A-list Hollywood directors, Scott leads the company with diverse skills in storytelling and a broad knowledge of rich media.

Credits

As a partner at the marketing firm, Rocket XL, Scott executive produced online video content initiatives for MTV, Sprite, Xbox, Monster Energy Drink, and the NBA. Prior to joining Rocket XL, Scott was an Assistant Director (AD) to Martin Scorsese on The Aviator, which won five Academy Awards. Scott was also an AD on the award winning HBO series The Sopranos for three seasons. The Directors Guild of America nominated Scott for the “Achievement in a Television Dramatic Series” award for his work on The Sopranos with Steve Buscemi. In the commercial world, Scott has worked on campaigns for Dr. Pepper, SBC, Gatorade, Pringles, Geico and Monster.com. Scott began his career as a Production Assistant (PA) on such movies as The Devil’s Advocate, Conspiracy Theory and Great Expectations. Scott worked as a PA with Harold Ramis on Analyze This, Oscar winner Barry Levinson on Liberty Heights and Oscar winner Mike Nichols on What Planet Are You From? Scott most recently worked as an AD with nine-time Emmy winner Thomas Schlamme and four-time Emmy winner Aaron Sorkin on Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. Scott graduated from the University of Hartford with a BA in Mass Communications.
